TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: 12-Month Contractual




SALARY: Starting $12.87




POSITION LOCATION: North East, MD 21901




SUPPORTED ORGANIZATION: North East Fire Company Inc.




SPECIAL SCHEDULES:

The position involves working a normal part-time workweek and flexible workweek to accommodate coverage of scheduled nighttime meetings

not to exceed 39 hours as set by the Board of Directors or the President.




SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

The majority of the work is performed in a typical office setting located in the firehouse. Monthly meetings are also conducted outside the typical

office environment and will require use of computer equipment or other job related equipment. In other rooms not typical of offices. Infrequently

a request for special events may require work outside or at other business or public locations.

A favorable suitability determination is required. Misconduct in prior employment, criminal, dishonest, or disgraceful conduct, habitual use of

intoxicating beverages, abuse of narcotics, drugs or other controlled substances, or reasonable doubt of loyalty to the organizations mission or

functions as an emergency service provider are some of the reasons an offer of employment may be denied.




IS DRUG TESTING REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION?

Yes pre employment testing is required in accordance to the North East Fire Company Inc. Career Services Standard Operation Guidelines.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Provides assistance to the organization, NEFC officers and committees by completing a variety of administrative support functions that include

clerical duties, data entry, procurement research, payroll, and performance documentation of other employees.

Performs office automation work requiring the use of modern state-of the art computers, voice recording media, and software applications.

Prepares correspondence, reports, technical documents, graphs & charts, forms, and other office support materials required by the organization.

Provide indisputable typed and electronic documentation of company meetings or significant events as required or requested by the President, Vice President, or Board of Directors.

Perform functions to facilitate the human resources activities of the NEFC. This includes monitoring, coordinating, and safeguarding pertinent information and confidential documents of employees involving payroll, insurance, and personal data.

Serve as a trusted agent to pick up and distribute postal and electronic mail and distribute same within the department or external addresses.

Prepare and disseminate insurance forms, correspondence, award and honors packages, time sensitive material, and confidential charging

documents for the NEFC officers, committees, and Board of Directors.

Keep track of various company calendars and schedules for the organization and external entities. Maintain office equipment so that it is ready for

use and prepare office supply requisitions for approval. Ensure NEFC front admin office is secure, clean, and professionally represented.

Provide innovative suggestions and solutions to unique problems or situations to facilitate the efficiency and effectiveness of NEFC or any of its

programs.

Any issues involving NEFC personnel are promptly brought to the President, Vice President, Secretary, or Board of Directors.

Maintain high level of professional competence, positive organizational skills and typing at lease 40WPM
